Callie graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education and a Master of Science in Sensory Disabilities (with an emphasis in vision and deaf-blindness). Since then, she has worked as a classroom teacher for preschool and significant support needs programs, itinerant vision and deaf-blind teacher, early intervention vision provider, researcher, and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) infant vision screener. She also spent 7 years working closely alongside a pediatric ophthalmologist and clinic, gaining invaluable experience and a nuanced understanding of how ophthalmologists diagnose and treat visual impairments. Callie has gained extensive knowledge and skill in each of these positions, but as she puts it, her favorite place to be "is one-on-one with you and your child."

With over 20 years of experience in the field, Callie opened C.R. Vision, LLC in 2022 as a way to provide an alternative option and approach to vision services in a naturalistic setting for children with visual impairments, dual sensory impairments, and/or multiple disabilities. She recognizes and values that the natural home environment is conducive to supporting optimal learning for children with sensory impairments.
